Glassdoor Design System

Glassdoor is a widely recognized online platform that provides information about jobs, salaries, company reviews, and interview insights. Glassdoor help jobseekers gain insights into companies they are interested in working for by providing a place to find company reviews and rating, salary information, employee experience, CEO approval rating and details about the interview process from current and former employees.

What I worked on

Over a span of 5 months, I collaborated with fellow members of the design team on diverse projects, encompassing an IA audit, design system development, wireframing, and the seamless integration of features into the existing mobile and web experience for Glassdoor. It was imperative that our efforts were both web and mobile responsive, including native apps for iOS and Android, given the escalating number of mobile users.

The design system initiative was a focal point, aiming to establish a cohesive design language capable of transcending various products and platforms. It was conceived to be foundational yet robust, suitable for integration across various sections of the product, providing a fundamental language that product designers could employ, tailor to the unique design requirements of each product area  and comprehend while also allowing for elaboration and contributions to the dynamic living system.

In support of our styling decisions for the new design system, we conducted thorough competitive research. Simultaneously, our research team initiated a comprehensive study to assess how the new style would impact both current and prospective users, focusing on usability and overall user experience. Armed with this invaluable feedback, we refined and iterated upon the design system to ensure its optimal effectiveness and user resonance.
